It is one week away from Thanksgiving and I have been bombarded with Mom-duty while the hubby has been traveling. I’m waaaaaaay behind on my thankfulness posts, but family comes first and when you get two sick kids in one day and have to bring them to a germ-infested doctor’s office other things get pushed to the side. Today, I will catch up on a week of Thankfulness.
I am Thankful for….
- My Small Group– My hubby and I have a great group of couples who come over every other Sunday to drink my husband’s home-roasted coffee fellowship and encourage each other through our different journeys in life. It is such a great group of people and I am so blessed to call them my friends.
- My daughter-My little girl is growing up into a wonderful young woman. She is so smart, helpful, and loving to others. I get a lot of praise from my friends for how a great young lady she is becoming. Makes a mom’s heart proud.
- My two boys– My heart is wrapped around these little men. They make me laugh all the time and sometimes make me want to pull my hair out.
- My husband– I am married to such a wonderful man. This year we will be celebrating 16 years of marriage. We’ve been through a lot of fire in our marriage, but we always come through it together. He was my best friend before we started dating and that has been the foundation of our relationship. I would be lost without him.
- Being a Stay at Home mom-I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to stay home with my kids. It has been a sacrifice living on only one income, but the results are worth it.
- My HUGE family– For Thanksgiving we are driving 15 loooong hours up North {pray for my sanity} to spend Thanksgiving with my mom’s side of the family. I LOVE these celebrations because it’s one big, fun, party with LOTS of eating, laughing, and eating. {I know I said eating already, but if you knew how well my family cooked, you’d list it twice, too!}
- Thanksgiving- I’m just going to say it….I LOVE Thanksgiving! It’s one of my favorite holidays. Not only because of the great food, but because it starts off the Christmas season {although there are a few people around here who had their Christmas decorations up after Halloween…What is that all about?}
That is it for Thankful Thursday. I guess if I’m going to do a 15 hour drive, I better start packing, huh? Laundry, here I come…
