Summer is basically over here in the South. My kids start school on Monday and I will be gaining some much needed “mommy-time”. During my blogging hiatus, I took a break from the computer and just hung out with my kiddos. We went swimming, bowling, and watched movies. One thing that I did do on the computer was browse Pinterest.  If you don’t know what Pinterest is, yet, let me be the first to welcome you to an organizational phenomenon!

I discovered Pinterest last year when it was just getting started. I set up my account and then had no idea what to do. I didn’t do anything with it for a few weeks. One night, my insomnia kicked in and I picked up my iPad and decided to figure out what it was all about. I realized that it was a virtual corkboard where I could pin anything from the internet with a link to the website. I have a corkboard in my kitchen where I pin all the important papers for school that gets very a bit cluttered. Pinterest is the same idea, but I could organize the sites and then I could always find the site I needed.

GENIUS!!!

Once I figured it all out, I was hooked. I promptly started discovering and pinning ideas from all over the internet! It started out with organization, then to crafts {easy ones} and then food! Ever since the January Nothing Unhealthy challenge, I’ve been a recipe-collecting fiend! I am now just starting to sort all my recipes on Pinterest into different categories.

I am trying to change our family menus to a more healthy, clean {getting rid of refined sugars} diet. I am going to start reviewing some of my favorite and not-so-favorite finds from Pinterest. That means I will be completely honest on whether or not my judges {picky kids and a hubby who will eat anything} liked what I made. I will start with a surprising favorite that I just tried two weeks ago: Crockpot Applesauce.

Now I won’t be this this woman!
