This is what today felt like and this book popped into my head.br /br /bThe Terrible:/b It started with a horrible night’s sleep. I mentioned at the beginning of this challenge that I had a sleep study done last week. I still don’t know the results, but I can guess waking up multiple times in a night is going to be one of my problems.br /br /bThe Horrible:/b After I got my boy off to school I realized the awful headache that had creeped up my neck to my head. My littlest man did not have school today which was sad because I was dying to crawl back in bed. Fortunately, he LOVES The Incredibles movie i{which is 2 hours long}/i and will sit and watch it the entire time. I was able to snooze during that time while dreaming about the movie.br /br /I got up and made his favorite lunch a “butter” sandwich i{peanut butter only} /ithen bribed him to take a nap by letting him sleep in my bed. After he fell asleep, I took some ibuprofen i{it was a killer headache}/i and took a hot shower hoping it would help me feel better.br /br /Nap time was interrupted by a loud, backing up i{beeping}/i high school bus. My boy thought his big brother was home and was very excited thus ending what should have been a longer nap.br /br /bTrying to make it better:/b I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies.br /br /br /div style=”TEXT-ALIGN: center; CLEAR: both” class=”separator”a style=”MARGIN-LEFT: 1em; MARGIN-RIGHT: 1em” href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QMn88cLiS18/TmgQI7XsNOI/AAAAAAAAAmo/45IQX56D3qY/s1600/photo.JPG” imageanchor=”1″img border=”0″ src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QMn88cLiS18/TmgQI7XsNOI/AAAAAAAAAmo/45IQX56D3qY/s320/photo.JPG” width=”288″ height=”320″ //a/divThey were awesome! So good that my toddler snagged more than he should have while Dad wasn’t looking and wasn’t hungry for dinner. Dinner was nothing fancy. Leftovers/sandwiches/make-it-yourself night. We had two activities that were going on and needed to be out the door by 6:15PM.br /br /bThe No Good: /bI discovered that my hubby spent some of his blow money last night and tonight. Every so often he will go out and play Texas Hold ‘Em at a local restaurant/bar. It’s a free activity and he enjoys the game. What is not free are the drinks. He confessed that he spent $8. I’m not going to make him feel bad for spending $8 i{no really I’m not}/i.br /br /ibAnd then there was tonight../b/i.He had a meeting with some other Cub Scout Den leaders at McDonalds. He took our oldest boy and I went to drop our girl at church. The whole ride my toddler was chanting “Donalds, Donalds.” I knew I wasn’t going to be able to go home. I headed to “Donalds” to let him play with his brother. When I got there, my oldest boy ratted out his dad and said he got a happy meal. Turns out my oldest became very hungry after playing for a bit and was ready to dive into another leader’s fries. In order to divert him from helping himself he got him a happy meal. I would have too if I was trying to have a meeting AND trying to keep an 8 year old boy from snacking on someone else’s dinner.br /br /bThe Very Bad Day: /bBoys get very thirsty when they are running around McDonalds playing with other kids. It was a good thing that the meal came with a drink. Both my boys filled that little cup up several times and sucked it dry. I could tell tiredness was setting in when my toddler tried taking off the top to get the little last bit, but dropped it on the floor.br /br /No biggie…I cleaned it up.br /br /Big brother went to fill it up. Little brother dropped the entire cup. bIt was time to go home./b Cleaning up a sopping mess on a dirty restaurant floor is not my idea of fun. Got them home and ready for their shower when little brother couldn’t wait to get on the potty and decided the floor would do. Mopping X 3 in a 30 minute time period is no fun at all.br /br /Hopefully tomorrow will be better.br /br /a href=”http://www.aghdesigns.com/images/blogs/siggy4.png” target=”_blank”img border=”0″ alt=”Anna” src=”http://www.aghdesigns.com/images/blogs/siggy4.png” //a
