I decided last night that I really needed to get my rear in gear with the activity. My first decision was to exercise in the AM because I would not be able to use the excuse of being too full from any meals. I decided to try Bodyrock.tv first thing this morning. It was a 12 minute intense interval workout. Surely I could survive 12 minutes.

I must have been delusional.

By the third minute I was praying for a quick death. My arms were shaking, my ears hurt, and I could not stop looking at the timer wondering how 12 minutes {50 seconds workout with a 10 second rest} felt like eternity in hell.

I finished….{barely}. As I crawled to the shower, I prayed that I would not throw up. Yes, it was that difficult. My husband said that the pukey feeling meant I worked hard.

No wonder I hate working out.

My food today consisted of a protein shake, omelet for lunch, and some easy Mexi dish I threw together. My daughter made some chocolate chip cookies tonight and I ate four a few so I wouldn’t hurt her feelings.

If you want to take a look at the torture I endured this morning here is the video showing how the exercises are done with modifications towards the end. What is interesting is that it is a brief explanation, you don’t actually do the exercises with the video. The blog post has the list of the exercises.

Oh, and by the way, there are a lot of pictures of very fit people on the website. It can either motivate you or demotivate you. I’m hoping the motivation will kick in…eventually.
