Now you know! It’s my cryptonite when I am weary. I can’t resist the temptation, I tell you!
I can. But I didn’t.
It was one of those days where I was hovering over my toddler because we are potty-training. There is not much to do when you are hovering. I cleaned the kitchen, ate my oatmeal, read some of my book and *gasp* prepared dinner all by 11AM. I did get a load of clothes in the wash, but I didn’t want to spend too much time upstairs in case I missed the “pooping” cue. {My laundry room is upstairs which is nice because I’m not lugging clothes up and down stairs, but it can be a problem getting laundry done when I’m hardly upstairs. Such a conundrum.}
Since my husband was going to be out during dinner time, I decided to make beef stew in the crock-pot. I also started a loaf of bread in the bread machine. I guess I can be pretty productive when I’m trapped on one level of my house. While making the scrumptious meal, I snacked on these:
{I also may or may not have downed a handful of Fruit Loops, but my mind blurs when I’m hungry.}
I also ate a disgusting protein bar for lunch. It was so gross I made my husband finish it. I don’t think we’ll be buying those ever again. I should have eaten more, but I decided to wait for dinner. BIG MISTAKE!
At 5PM I ate two bowls of my beef stew and some whole wheat bread. It was scrumptious! I was tired and wanted something sweet. Rather than get an apple or something else that would help fill me up, I saw the frozen snack-sized Twix bars in the freezer.
It was over. I had two. {Hanging my head in shame…}
Ok. I’m over it. I’m not going to beat myself up over two measly snack-sized Twix bars. I mean I choked down a disgusting protein bar. That must count for something.
I still have to do some type of exercising tonight. But I think I really need to figure out how to supplement the times where I need a quick snack. I think that is where I run into some issues. Anyone have any ideas for snacks that don’t take hours to prepare?
