I’m about to head out and volunteer for preparation for Feeding the 5000. But I wanted to give you a quick update of my weekend.

One of the ways my husband and I volunteer for our church is by leading a Small Group of married couples. We have been with this group for about 4 or 5 years. We study a range of topics from marriage to child rearing all with Biblical applications to our lives.

Every December we end our fall semester meetings with a Christmas party. It is one of my favorite gatherings because everyone brings food {oooohhh the FOOD} and then we just get to hang out and talk while the children run wild play nicely with each other. The kids do a book exchange and the adults get to catch up before a month long hiatus from seeing each other again.

Over the years, this group has grown. We always have new babies being added to the group and now the children outnumber the adults. It’s such a blessing to have a group of people that are there when you need them. They have become a part of our family and I am blessed that I get to do life with them.
