Ever have one of those days where everything is going along well and then suddenly everything happens at once? bnbsp; That just happened to me about an hour ago./bbr /br /The day was moving along. I even got a phone call from my mom asking when I was coming over. She read my a href=”https://mydebtfreeroad.com/2011/09/30-day-challenge-day-21-fun-with.html”blog post from yesterday/a and made dinner for us. ib{Thanks, Mom. You’re the best!}/bnbsp;/iWe arrived just before the pouring rain started. Rain is a good and bad thing today. Rain meant no cheer practice for my tween and it also meant a possible flight delay for my traveling man.br /br /After a wonderful dinner, we got home and I ran upstairs to check my email since I had not been on the computer most of the day. Suddenly I heard crying from downstairs, but not a bI’m-badly-injured-run-for-your-life-and-come-get-me cry/b. My tween was watching him and apparently took care of whatever the issue was…or so I thought. About 15 minutes later, my tween comes up and tells me she thinks the toddler has the same injury he had a few months ago, a href=”https://mydebtfreeroad.com/2011/06/nursemaids-elbow-75-lesson.html”Nursemaid’s Elbow/a.br /br /I went down to see and sure enough he was cradling his arm and cryingnbsp;every timenbsp;I moved it. There was no swelling. I decided to get him showered and in bed early. While trying to get him comfortable I heard my daughter on the phone. It was her coach. My tween did not have practice, but she did have a short pep rally that the coach wanted her to attend. There was something about cupcakes and some birthdays, it was all confusing.br /ibr //ibr /Fortunately, the coach offered to come and get her and bring her home. While I was on the phone, my hurt baby was whimpering, nbsp;I got a text from hubby telling me he was delayed and a text from our small group’s babysitter asking if we would be able to find someone else for Sunday. I suddenly felt very overwhelmed and hit all at once with information I was not expecting at bedtime.br /br /It all got resolved. And finally I have two boys sleeping, a husband on his flight home and a tween who should be back in a few minutes.bnbsp;/bbr /bbr //bbr /bAfter an hour like that, my tween better bring home a cupcake!/bbr /br /iOh yeah, while writing this post I noticed my toddler took some self-portraits of his foot with my phone. Thought I’d share.
