Today was going pretty well until about 5PM, but I’ll get to that in a sec. My toddler was home with me today i{as opposed to being in preschool}/i and we had a grand old time. We watched a movie, did a puzzle, traced his hand a hundred times, he got a haircut. You know everyday things.br /br /While I was tracing his hand, I stumbled on a fun learning activity for him.br /br /It started out with the color blue.br /br /I had traced his and my hand about five times before I picked up a different color. Then I started using all the colors to make different hand tracings. Once I was done, I spread them out and had him match the color marker to the color on the paper while saying the color.b Matching and color recognition!/bnbsp;nbsp;i{Woo Hoo! All that money on my education degree finally paid off!}/ibr /br /div class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”a href=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1Hs0RxEPhf4/Tnp9KNg5FuI/AAAAAAAAAp8/4sEfsg1Zh4Y/s1600/IMAG0429.jpg” imageanchor=”1″ style=”margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;”img border=”0″ height=”320″ src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1Hs0RxEPhf4/Tnp9KNg5FuI/AAAAAAAAAp8/4sEfsg1Zh4Y/s320/IMAG0429.jpg” width=”191″ //a/divbr /It was a little messy on the hands, but it will come off by next week i{Note to self: hide the fun Toy Story markers get washable markers}/i.br /br /div class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”/divdiv class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”a href=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wQDnf_jrNSA/Tnp9oBoAKEI/AAAAAAAAAqE/3GY_5JqkOTc/s1600/IMAG0430.jpg” imageanchor=”1″ style=”margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;”img border=”0″ height=”191″ src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wQDnf_jrNSA/Tnp9oBoAKEI/AAAAAAAAAqE/3GY_5JqkOTc/s320/IMAG0430.jpg” width=”320″ //a/divbr /After school let out for the older siblings, I took my older son to the barber shop. Good thing I had already taken my toddler there earlier. There was a bit of a line for the one lady that knows how to cut his hair well and fast. Since she only takes about 15 minutes per customer, I thought it would be 30 minutes tops. There was a man in the chair already halfway through his cut and his son was next. One hour later, we finally emerged. I wasn’t expecting the two people ahead of us to have such thick hair that they would need 30 minutes each for her to strikemow/strikenbsp;cut their hair.br /br /This left me in a bind. By the time we got out it was 5:30PM, everyone was hungry and homework still needed to be done. I decided to go to Littlenbsp;Caesar’snbsp;and get a $5 pizza. It was a minor setback in our no spend challenge. The good news is that it was bonly /b$5 and not $20 that we would have spent if I had gone to Subway or a restaurant.br /br /Tomorrow I might have to invite myself over to my mom’s house for dinner.br /a href=”http://www.aghdesigns.com/images/blogs/siggy4.png” target=”_blank”img alt=”Anna” border=”0″ src=”http://www.aghdesigns.com/images/blogs/siggy4.png” //a
