Today was a tremendous day of no spending! I got my act together last night and prepped a roast to cook ALL day today for a birthday dinner for my Dad.br /br /div class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”a href=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vSEASFQclGY/TnFHIO96FlI/AAAAAAAAAnc/ztWmWJNXxdc/s1600/roast.png” imageanchor=”1″ style=”margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;”img border=”0″ height=”312″ src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vSEASFQclGY/TnFHIO96FlI/AAAAAAAAAnc/ztWmWJNXxdc/s320/roast.png” width=”320″ //a/divbr /It was really easy to prep. Once I had it all together, I popped it in the fridge until 8AM this morning. I believe I found the recipe at Allrecipes.com.br /br /div style=”text-align: center;”i2 cans cream of mushroom soup/i/divdiv style=”text-align: center;”i1 package of onion soup mix/i/divdiv style=”text-align: center;”i1 1/4 cup of water/i/divdiv style=”text-align: center;”i5 lb roast/i/divdiv style=”text-align: center;”ibr //i/divdiv style=”text-align: center;”iMix soups and water and pour over roast. By 2PM my house smelled wonderful!!br /br /When the kids got home from school, we piled everyone and the food into the van and headed off to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. My mom had a fabulous salad bar all set up. I wish I had remembered to take pictures because it looked great!br /br /We ended with a cake from Publix since they carry great tasting cakes.br /div class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”a href=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YnZQftVlZrk/TnFJi8rujgI/AAAAAAAAAng/9H3socYILVo/s1600/cake.jpg” imageanchor=”1″ style=”margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;”img border=”0″ height=”191″ src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YnZQftVlZrk/TnFJi8rujgI/AAAAAAAAAng/9H3socYILVo/s320/cake.jpg” width=”320″ //a/divdiv class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”br //divNotice ALL the flowers on this cake? My dad bireally /i/bloves the frosting.br /br /The best part about visiting my parents is they always send us home with food and stuff! We got two jars of the pickles she a href=”https://mydebtfreeroad.com/2011/09/30-day-challenge-day-4.html”pickled last week/a, a huge butternut squash, and Almond pound cake mixnbsp;from Tastefully Simple. THEN she also gave my daughter and me a ton of makeup and hair care items from a href=”http://mariagraves.avonrepresentative.com/”her Avon /asupply. nbsp;I didn’t have to spend a cent!
